Tinka's perfomance was the best of the Irish team members.</p> <p>Tinka went on to win the small Grand Prix towards the end of the show which rounded of a great week for her.</p> <p>Je taime Flamenco had a good week, being third in the Grand Prix, beaten by half a second by Maclain Ward and the current European Champion Kevin Staute. The course was one of the biggest I have seen in a while so I was really pleased with Je Taime.</p> <p>Recent form has raised my position to 25th in the World Rankings.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Wed, 11 Aug 2010 17:35:00 +0100 http://www.billytwomey.com/new-blogentry-6/ Spanish Sunshine Tour 2010 http://www.billytwomey.com/new-blogentry/ <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Billy Twomey&rsquo;s Round Up of The Spanish Sunshine Tour 2010.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Billy has now returned from the Spanish Sunshine Tour held at Montenmedio, Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The show was a great opportunity to get the younger horses firing on all cylinders ready for the outdoor season.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Sue Davies&rsquo;s Tinkers Serenade jumped really well having just unlucky time faults in Grand Prix&rsquo;s 3 and 4 and jumping double clear in the final Invitational Grand Prix to be placed fourth. </span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The Davies&rsquo;s Blue Thunder suffered with travel sickness on the journey out to Spain and only returned to full work for the final weekend of the tour being well placed in two classes on the final weekend.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Vince Connaughton&rsquo;s Cavin M had a good tour winning 2 classes throughout the tour.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The young horses all jumped well throughout the tour gaining numerous placings over the weekends.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">A big thanks you to all the owners and sponsors for their support throughout the tour.</span></span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">New pictures are available in the Gallery section of the site</span></span></span></p> Tue, 23 Mar 2010 13:00:00 +0000 http://www.billytwomey.com/new-blogentry/ Flamenco wins in Amsterdam again! http://www.billytwomey.com/flamenco-wins-in-amsterdam-again/ <p>Je Taim Flamenco made a victorious come back from injury,&nbsp;by&nbsp;taking the top prize of 22,500&nbsp;euros in the Amsterdam CSI4*&nbsp;Grand Prix for the second year running.</p> <p>Twomey jumped one of 6 clear rounds out of a strong field&nbsp;of 47.
