At Monday's press briefing in Dublin, Team Ireland 
Equestrian’s Show Jumping Manager Robert Splaine confirmed that he had 
selected three of the five riders to represent Ireland in Show Jumping.

Denis Lynch; Lantinus or Nabab's Son
Cian O’ Connor; K Club Lady
Billy Twomey; Tinka’s Serenade or Je T’aime Flamenco

The Games take place in Kentucky, USA, from September 26th to October 
10th.

Billy Comments ' both my horses have been on great form this season and the selectors have found it difficult to choose between them, recently Je Taime Flamenco jumped the Hickstead Nations Cup for 4 faults in round one and a clear in round two and Tinka's Serenade jumped the Dublin Nations Cup for Clear in round one and 4 faults in round two which was the best Irish performance.

I am delighted for Sue and Ed Davies, who own both horses, who have been great supporters and owners for me throughout my career and hopefully this justifies the support they have given me over the years. In this sport it is difficult to retain long term backers which Sue and Eddie have been and I hope this gives them all the pleasure they deserve, whilst encouraging them to continue owning World Class horses that I can ride.
